Big-bag discharge station

Big-bag discharge station Shick Esteve

Big-Bag (FIBC) packaging is the best compromise between palettes of sacks and bulk silo storage. The Big-Bag discharge system can be used to discharge the product manually or automatically for transfer by screw or pneumatic conveyor to the mixing or processing lines.

  • Reduces the number of discharge operations;
  • Reduces operator exposure to raw materials;
  • Saves space;
  • Complete residue-free emptying;
  • Dust-tight closing system;
  • Discharge in ATEX22 or 21 zones.

Operating principle:

An electric or pneumatic vibrator motor activates the emptying of the big-bag placed on the vibrating receiver. Four silent-blocs damp and filter the vibration of the receiver. An access door, fitted with a locking toggle clamp, enables the operator to untie the big-bag and place it onto the inside wall of the receiver. Where a double liner is used, the big-bag will be fixed to the receiver by means of an inflatable seal. Some products liable to bridge or with difficult flow, require two anti-bridging devices controlled by pneumatic piston. For partial emptying, Shick Esteve can adapt a cable or fork-operated diaphragm valve to reclose the big-bag.
